Extra Credit

Most people view the celebration of Christmas as a time honored tradition in America. In reality, the way Americans have celebrated this holiday has changed dramatically over the years. The secular symbols that have overtaken the religious aspects of Christmas have a varied, and often strange, history.

Write a 5 page, typed, 12 point, double-spaced report on Christmas in America. You can decide to do a general history or relate how certain symbols gained popularity (for example, Rudolph). This assignment is worth 300 points in social studies.
